Bring a piece of the Cornish coast indoors with this unique driftwood carving. I’ve kept the finish simple and “naive” to highlight the rugged beauty of the reclaimed wood. No two pieces are ever the same, as I work with the natural knots and weathered cracks found in the timber.

The gulls are hand-shaped and painted, with the visible brushstrokes and tool marks left as part of the design. It is a sturdy, tactile piece of folk art—perfect for a windowsill or mantelpiece where you want a bit of unpolished, coastal character.
